Even though New Lifetime Maximum Care Plans are no longer available, Lifetime contracts currently in effect will be honored throughout the lifetime of your vehicle to the original purchaser(s) at any authorized Mopar dealership.

Mopar Vehicle Protection Plans with lifetime coverage are offered in three coverage levels -- Powertrain Care, Added Care Plus and Maximum Care. And, the Lifetime Maximum Care plan, with comprehensive coverage of 5,000-plus components, is likely the very best extended service warranty in the industry.

FCA vehicles with the 5-year/60,000-mile, the 5-year/100,000-mile or the 4-year/50,000-mile Powertrain Warranty also qualify for coverage. And, the Lifetime Maximum Care Vehicle Protection provides comprehensive coverage when the Standard Warranty expires. Lifetime Powertrain Care
A Mopar Lifetime Powertrain Care Warranty will extend coverage when your original 3-year/36,000-mile Basic Warranty or 5-year/60,000-mile or 5-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Warranty ends on your Chrysler, Dodge lifetime warranty, Ram, Jeep and Fiat vehicle. The Lifetime Powertrain Care Warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor required to repair covered powertrain components, including the engine, transmission and drive system, for the life of the vehicle for the original purchaser. You can also add coverage for steering and air condition with a Lifetime Powertrain Care extended warranty for only vehicles covered by the 3-year/36,000-mile. When Plan Coverage Starts and Ends
New Mopar Vehicle Protection Plans are generally offered with a wide variety of time and mileage terms, typically up to 8 years and 125,000 miles. Lifetime Vehicle Protection Plans, however, have no time or mileage limits on mechanical coverage for the original owner of the Lifetime Plan. Lifetime Plans, unlike specified year plans, are not transferable unless required by state law. Lifetime Care Plans offer specified mechanical coverage to the original purchaser(s) of the contract for the lifetime of that purchaser.
Upon receipt and approval of a Mopar Service Application form, you will be mailed a Personalized Plan Provision and Identification Card. These documents will identify you and your vehicle to the servicing dealer as being eligible for Lifetime Plan service.
The Mopar extended warranty plan ends upon the death of that original contract purchaser or upon the transfer or sale of the vehicle. The plan ends even if the transfer occurs by law to a lien holder, family member through succession, or successor business.
The original purchaser of an existing Lifetime Plan may cancel it within 60 days of purchasing a Chrysler or Dodge Lifetime warranty, granted that no claims have been made, for a full refund of the Chrysler lifetime warranty cost. If canceled 60 days after purchasing a Lifetime Mopar warranty, the purchaser will receive a refund on a pro-rata basis. To cancel the Mopar warranty plan, the purchaser may take the Plan Provisions, proof of payoff and current vehicle mileage to any dealer, who will contact Mopar to request termination of said Mopar warranty contract. A complete Mopar Lifetime Maximum Care contract is available at our Document Library.
Getting A Lifetime Service Visit
To obtain service under a Mopar Lifetime Plan, the vehicle owner should request service from any authorized FCA US LLC franchise dealer of the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram or Fiat vehicle lines within the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico or Mexico. It is important to note that service obtained from a repair shop other than an authorized FCA dealer is not reimbursable.
Deductible Responsibility
For each repair visit of the vehicle’s covered components the contract owner is responsible to pay only the deductible (first $0, $100 or $200) of the total cost of covered repair. Repairs not covered under the plan, of course, are also the owner’s responsibility. Any imposed state and/or local taxes on the cost of repairs, are in addition to the deductible.
Towing Allowance
Lifetime Care Plans will pay up to $100 per repair occurrence for towing to the nearest Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep or Fiat dealer anytime a failed covered component fails requires the vehicle to be towed. Towing charges in excess of the amount allowed by the plan are the vehicle owner’s responsibility.
First Day Rental
Lifetime Care Plans provides a $35 First-Day Car Rental Allowance for any dealership mechanical repair or maintenance service.
Taxi reimbursement coverage, which starts on the date you purchase the plan, provides up to a $35 for taxi cab fare in lieu of First-Day Rental when the vehicle is serviced for any same day mechanical or maintenance service. Taxi receipts must be from a licensed taxi service provider for Mopar to provide reimbursement.
Car Rental Allowance
Lifetime Care Plans will also pay up to $35 per day ($175 maximum per occurrence) for car rental anytime a covered component described in the provision fails, causing the vehicle to be both inoperable and kept overnight for repairs. The rental car must be obtained from a dealer or from a licensed rental agency, and rental coverage is subject to state and local laws imposed by the rental agency. Mopar is not responsible for any refusal of a rental agency to rent a vehicle to you. Car rental allowance coverage is not provided where loaner vehicle coverage is provided by the Basic Warranty or the dealer.
When a loaner car is not available, or plan owner is not eligible for a rental car, the Mopar vehicle protection plan will pay up to $35 per day for taxi service, in lieu of car rental, any time mechanical repairs take overnight. Taxi receipts must be from a licensed taxi service provider, and taxi charges in excess of the amount allowed by the plan are the responsibility of the plan purchaser. Total Rental/Taxi Service Allowance per occurrence is a maximum of 5 days or $175.
Trip Interruption
The plan will pay up to $1,000 for lodging, meals, and emergency transportation such as taxi, bus, or airline for you and your family. Your vehicle must be inoperable due to the failure of covered parts under this plan or under the factory warranty, and you must be more than 100 miles from the address of record on the contract. Lodging, meals and car rental receipts must accompany a copy of repair bill and mailed to: Vehicle Protection, P.O. Box 2700, Troy, Michigan 48007-2700.
Key Fob Repairs/Replacements
Subject to the limitations in this provision, the plan provides coverage for up to three key fob repairs or replacements, and a total key fob coverage benefit of $600, which limit applies notwithstanding the cost per repair or per replacement of the key fob for the covered vehicle. Key fob coverage is available even if this component is lost or stolen, and this coverage has no deductible for covered key fob component repair visits. Failure of a key fob battery does not constitute a mechanical failure of the key fob.
Roadside Assistance
The plan provides Roadside Assistance due to a disablement caused by any mechanical failure, and in addition, provides coverage for items such as towing to the nearest dealer or authorized repair facility, flat tire change (with your good spare), battery jump, out of gas delivery (maximum 2 gallons), lockout service (keys locked in car or a frozen lock) to a maximum of $100 per occurrence. Any expense beyond $100 at the time and site of service is the vehicle owner’s responsibility. Towing assistance will be dispatched only for mechanical disablements which renders the vehicle inoperative. This service is provided to minimize any unforeseen vehicle operation or inconvenience, and is available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
You must call 888-517-4500 to arrange for roadside service at time of each occurrence. To get emergency Roadside Assistance you need be prepared to provide the phone representative with your name, Lifetime Plan number, vehicle license plate number, your location, the phone number you are calling from and a brief description of the problem.
As stated in the contract provisions, Towing, First-Day Rental, Car Rental Allowance, Trip Interruption, Key Fob Repairs and Replacements, and Roadside Assistance expire at 7 years or 100,000 miles on the odometer, whichever occurs first. First-Day Rental is excluded from the plan for bodywork.
Coverage Limit
It is important to realize that, should a covered component of the vehicle fail, the maximum benefit amount will be the total cost of the repairs per visit less the deductible, or the cash value of the vehicle, whichever is less! The cash value of the vehicle will be determined as current average retail value at the time of the covered repair as listed in the current NADA Used Car Pricing Guide. If at any time the repair costs for covered component(s) exceed the vehicle’s cash value, the final plan benefit will be Mopar’s payment of the vehicle’s cash value rather than the repair costs.
The Mopar vehicle protection plan will pay the total cost of parts and labor, less the deductible per visit, to correct any of the plan covered mechanical failures caused by a defect in materials or workmanship of a covered component that are not covered by the vehicle’s factory warranty. The only exceptions are those listed under “What is not covered by the Plan.” of the Lifetime contract.
